The BCCC and UWI-ROYTEC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the fostering of business development, research and training programmes, which will be of benefit to both BCCC members and students of UWI-ROYTEC.  It is also envisaged that this MOU will enable BCCC to make customized business and professional development programmes more accessible to its members on the one hand, and will provide opportunities for students to gain exposure to best practice and real life experiences in the world of business through BCCC member companies on the other.

UWI-ROYTEC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, which is engaged in the development and delivery of both academic tertiary programmes and executive education and training.  They also undertake research and provide business consultancy services.

At the official signing, which took place on June 14th 2016 at UWI-ROYTEC’s offices on Henry Street, UWI-ROYTEC was represented by Ms. Wendy Augustus, Executive Director, and Ms. Heather John, New Manager Business Development.  Mr. James Telfer, Honorary Chairman of BCCC and Ms. Tracey Hoford, BCCC’s Country Manager, represented the Chamber.
