Franklin University

UWI-ROYTEC is proud to announce its partnership with ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc. (ACI), Guyana for the purpose of expanding and enhancing the continuous professional development opportunities to residents of Guyana.
ACI is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Educational Institution and Business Development Company of Guyanese Origin. UWI-ROYTEC and ACI’s partnership will facilitate the collaboration of both parties:

JMMB Bank (T&T) Limited
UWI-ROYTEC and JMMB Bank (T&T) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to partner with JMMB’s SME Resource Centre, Jamaica to provide training, coaching and business management support to Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Trinidad and Tobago.
JMMB Bank (T&T) launched its Small and Medium Enterprise Unit in May 2020 which will be supported by their Jamaican counterparts. The SME Unit will provide access to a full suite of support services, including internal coaching from JMMB's bank specialists and ecosystem partners, who will offer resources to accelerate the growth of their businesses. It is in this regard that the Bank has partnered with UWI-ROYTEC to access our services as a corporate training provider for ongoing professional development training for SMEs. UWI-ROYTEC is recognised as a recommended service provider and will facilitate training and development for JMMB’s SME clients to improve operational efficiency.

The Alzheimer's Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AzATT)
UWI-ROYTEC and the AzATT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to exclusively collaborate to help bring more awareness about the disease and to provide professional development training for caregivers, first responders, relatives, friends, professionals, organizations and interested persons, in the hopes of improving the quality of life for those living with and affected by Alzheimer's disease in Trinidad and Tobago.
The partnership will facilitate:
- The design and delivery of specialized training on Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia awareness and caring for affected persons.
- Sharing of best practice, and ideas as it relates to Alzheimer's care, support and professional development training through seminars, advocacy fora, conferences and other public events.
- The promotion of stakeholder engagement and educational fora targeting audiences locally and regionally, in acknowledging Alzheimer’s disease as a critical public health issue

Eshe's Learning Centre

UWI-ROYTEC has collaborated with Eshe's Learning Centre to offer a two-year internship programme to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education Degree Programme. The internship will validate UWI-ROYTEC’s approach to teacher education as an applied science of teaching and learning. Students will benefit from on-the-job training and teacher preparation in handling children with disabilities in the classroom.

Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers' Association (TTMA)

UWI-ROYTEC and the TTMA have worked together to develop small business training programmes which assists its members in improving the education level of their workforce, increase the competitiveness and export readiness of SMEs.
This specialized training programme is offered to the TTMA membership with the overarching goal of making available to members, much needed technical training which will lead to increased productivity, efficiency and profitability of local small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
The objectives of the small business training programmes are as follows:
- Increasing the competitiveness of SMEs through training and applied studies;
- Identifying the unique problems and challenges of SMEs locally and crafting creative and relevant solutions;
- Ensuring the export readiness of SMEs.

UWI-ROYTEC's Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO), signifies a historic collaboration.
The MoU underscores the Institution's obligation to community development and it also marked the launch of the 'Certificate in Business Entertainment' programme. This programme is designed to provide local entertainers (as well as those aspiring to enter the local entertainment industry) with the skills and knowledge needed, for a long and financially successful career.
