This is a programme of study leading to the award of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management (BDM), which will meet the needs of students who are seeking to develop careers in the field of business. The BDM programme accepts graduates of of the Associate Science Degree in Management (ADM) or its equivalent.
Students of the BDM programme may choose to follow a broad programme of study, or specialise with majors available in Business Psychology, Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management.
This programme of study is recognised by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT).
Entry to this programme requires completion of the Associate Science Degree in Management (ADM) or its equivalent
- The BDM programme covers the final two years (years 3 and 4) of undergraduate study.
- UWI-ROYTEC's Associate of Science Degree in Management (ADM) covers years 1 and 2 of undergraduate study and should be considered the entry pathway to the BDM.

Aims and Objectives
The BDM is designed around six (6) key habits/intentions, to be fostered in all BDM graduates. These habits/intentions underpin the design of teaching and learning delivery throughout the programme and they represent key values and skills required for a successful career in business; where knowledge of core business issues are well balanced against innovation, leadership and social responsibility.
- Entrepreneurship - equipping students with an entrepreneurial mind-set through engagement in the process of entrepreneurship; research, and evaluation of business development opportunities.
- Scientific enquiry and critical thinking - engaging in problem solving and applied learning.
- Social impact - fostering social engagement and reciprocity, transforming the world through ethical business behaviours.
- Technology innovations - demonstrating the use of relevant and modern technology in making data driven decision-making; ensuring that programme delivery is facilitated through the integration of technology in and for education.
- Effective communication - managing conflict and negotiations in the workplace. Understanding the importance of developing oral and written fluency in communication skills.
- Effective Leadership - recognising the importance of accountability, responsibility and visioning in implementing change in organizations and communities.
Programme Structure
This programme is offered both on a full-time and part-time basis and is delivered through a combination of classroom lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions. The programme includes a final capstone project where students demonstrate real-world application of the knowledge and skills during study.

Entry Requirements
Graduates of UWI-ROYTEC's Associate of Science Degree in Management (ADM) programme with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Cohorts prior to September 2017 should have a minimum GPA of 1.5.
A comparable Associate level qualification from another institution.
Students may also be considered on the basis of their work experience and training as deemed relevant by UWI-ROYTEC's Admissions Committee to be the equivalent of the above for the purpose of study. Applicants may be subject to an interview.
